Junkin'

I love junking. Picking. Treasure hunting. Rescuing little old snapshots of history. I LOVE it. It makes me giddy almost. I had a particularly emotionally taxing week this past week, so much so I just wanted to sleep all weekend. Wake me up on Monday. But I looked at my calendar (old fashioned paper planner, actually...super colorful and happy and I get to write in it with a pencil and I can see my whole week/month at one time and I don't have click on anything!) and I had penciled in a barn sale that started at 7am...I try not to be anywhere but my bed at 7am. I was weary but anytime you use the words barn and sale together the potential is limitless! So up I got at 6:40, threw my hair up, brushed my teeth, put on my glasses, grabbed a diet coke, and ran out the door. Off to find the barn!

This was not the barn that had the sale but it was such a beautiful, peaceful morning romping around the countryside in search of unexpected finds. I found the barn and it had a rooster and it was making early morning rooster noises, which was just a perfect addition to my morning barn adventure. That is until I had been there for 30 minutes and it was still cock-a-doodle-doo-ing. Then I was just thankful that I don't have a rooster and neither do my neighbors. Good grief rooster...we're up...shhhh.
So I zipped and zoomed around that barn, making my big ol' pile. I just get so excited when I uncover something or see something from afar. I want to gasp and yell, "MINE!" but I don't. I just move swiftly and hope I get my hands on it first. :)

Some guy asked me if I was starting my own thrift store...

You could die here...
